PRE-PROFESSIONAL SUMMER INTENSIVE

JUNE 30 – JULY 12, 2025

This exciting and transformative 2-week program is designed for advanced young dancers aspiring to a professional career. Anchored in Graham Technique and Contemporary, this intensive will refine the dancers’ technical and performance skills and nurture their artistic voice. Through daily classes in Graham, Contemporary, Contemporary Repertory, Graham Repertory, and ChoreoLab—all taught by experienced dance professionals, including current and former Martha Graham Dance Company dancers. Dancers will receive the focused training and mentorship to elevate their craft. The program will culminate with a showing on Saturday, July 12.

By invitation only: For dancers 13-18 years old with an intermediate to advanced level in Graham and Contemporary. Applicants must submit a 60-90 second Martha Graham Technique™ combination and a 60-90 second Contemporary solo to be considered for the Pre-Professional Intensive.

TRAINEE SUMMER INTENSIVE

JULY 14 – 25, 2025

This enriching 2-week program provides rigorous training in Graham Technique, Ballet, and Contemporary dance, with the goal of elevating students’ technical skills, physicality, and overall performance. Students will be introduced to Graham’s classic choreography in the Repertory class to gain a deeper understanding of her expressive style and valuable performance techniques. The ChoreoLab class will guide students in creating movement phrases, discovering their own artistic voice, and developing a personal toolbox of choreographic techniques using Graham repertory as inspiration. On Fridays, students will participate in masterclasses to broaden their performing arts experience.

For dancers 13-18 years old with a beginner to intermediate level in Graham. All applicants must submit a Martha Graham Technique™ Combination and a 60-90 second ballet OR contemporary solo for level placement purposes.
