YOUNG ARTISTS PROGRAM

PERFORMANCE TRACK

JUNE 29 – JULY 24, 2026

This exciting and transformative 4-week program is designed for intermediate to advanced dancers aspiring to a professional career. Anchored in Graham Technique and Contemporary, this intensive will refine the dancers’ technical and performance skills and nurture their artistic voice. Dancers will receive the focused training and mentorship to elevate their craft and excel in performance.

Students will participate in four classes daily, covering a diverse curriculum —all taught by experienced dance professionals, including Martha Graham Dance Company former and current members. Classes include:

Ballet, Graham, and Contemporary

Focusing on a different technique each week, this class celebrates early modern dance form creators such as José Limón, Lester Horton, Katherine Dunham, and Merce Cunningham, whose legacies continue to shape the art form.

A rotation of different dance styles such as Vogue, Salsa, West African, or Jazz, to broaden the dancer’s movement vocabulary through exposure to various techniques.

Comprehensive industry workshops designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful and sustainable career in the dance industry. This class offers students holistic training, extending beyond technical and artistic performance to encompass the business and wellness aspects of a professional dance life.

By audition only. Applicants must be 12-17 years old and have an intermediate to advanced level in Graham and/or Contemporary.

NON-PERFORMANCE TRACK
